Evaluation
Grid locations:

For evaluation purposes, fish were sampled (217 grids) at random
locations in 3 investigated sites (4,7,10) of the Quinebaug River. Circles
show grid locations in site 10. The catches were compared to probabilities
of presence predicted for mesohabitats in grid locations.
Evaluation for all fish:

The number of adult fish significantly correlates with a sum of
probabilities calculated for mesohabitat in the location. The scatter
of data points is probably caused by natural variability and alteration
of fauna.
Evaluation for fallfish:

On the species level, reliable results were achieved for fallfish.
For other species the numbers of catches were too low.
The graph above shows highly significant relationship between the
catches and predictions. The colors show the sites where fish were
caught. Contrary to other sites, for site 4 all the fish were
captured in areas of high probabilities. This site is one of least
impacted and has the highest amount of area suitable
for fallfish.
